Scar that scares me

The story of a refugee girl who is traumatized by her past. she can’t find peace with herself because her body carries the scars of her past. How can she find peace in a land of peace where she feels at ease, but no amount of comfort has been able to take away the pain-the pain of her past? How can she safe herself from herself in a land of peace.

The vision of the film is to create awareness about Post traumatic stress disorder, emanated from mental and physical scars that refugees carries with them which they do not talk about. The film is set in the office of a psychiatrist working with a refugee with PTSD to raise awareness of the difficulties that the mental illness poses in everyday life, but it  also presents a personal perspective on the issue from the practitioners and the patient’s perspectives as the story is based on a true one.

It emphasises the importance to support the victim’s passion as an alternative to their trauma treatment and encourages alternative treatment to trauma as opposed conventional medication.
